Cerber Review: "Cement siding is a great option and should be considered."

Location: Ft. Knox, KY
Model: Builder Collection

Cement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
5 of 5 stars Very Satisfied

I recently designed and constructed a new home about a year ago. When investigating the siding options, I found Cement siding to be a valuable option. The siding came in many colors and designs, so I was able to choose the look that best fit my desires. The siding has held up well for the last year, given a wide extreme range of temperatures - from the harsh cold and snow through the hot and dry summer. Compared to my previous home which had vinyl siding, the cement siding option has saved many many dollars in heating and cooling costs alone. Since I also live in a area frequented by wildlife including squirrels, skunks, racoons, and foxes, the siding has impenetrable to there attempts to get inside. I have not had any maintenance issues with the siding, and I am able to quickly clean the siding with water from the garden hose. As a building designer, I have often recommended to my friends and clients to look closely at the cement siding option to see if it will meet their needs, and if it does, I will often suggest a local dealer who specializes in the building material.

Cerber Review: "Cement siding isn't worthy"

Location: Tigard, OR

Cement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
1 of 5 stars Very Unsatisfied

I was a little disappointed in the cement siding that I bought. I think it looked really nice, but after a few years I noticed the paneling starting to wrought out. I got about six years out of the siding I put up before I decided to replace it with cedar wood siding. I decided to put up the cement siding my self instead of hiring a company to do it for me. Putting it up myself was sort of a bad idea because of the time and energy I put in for not that great of results. I had to buy about thirty dollars of extra cement siding because they kept on breaking on me as I was putting them up. If I had a choice to have not bought the cement siding I wouldn't have because of all the difficulties I ad with dealing it. The cedar wood siding I have now is more reliable and cost worthy.

Cerber Review: "Nice Fake wood to replace the real stuff."

Location: Covina, CA

Cement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
5 of 5 stars Very Satisfied

I am going to review my Cerber Rustic Fiber Cement Siding that was installed on my cabin that I have in the mountains. I bought the siding because I was tired of replacing the wood siding that was on the cabin before. I would have molding issues as well which made the inside stick. I decided to replace the siding with this cement siding because it is designed not to rot or mold. I also like the fact that it is warrantied for 50 years. This is a lot better than your normal 20-25 years that comes with most siding. There is nothing bad I have to say about the siding except installing it. Installing the siding was a kind of a pain because it is very very hard to cut with hand shears. I had to buy power shears so I could get anything done. Over the last year that I have had this product, I have had no issues with it at all. You don't have to do anything to siding to keep it nice. If anyone asked me if would I buy it again, I would. I just would warn them not to try hand shears to cut the siding, get the powered ones.
