Berridge Review: "Low Maintenance Aluminum Siding"

I've had my siding for over three years now and no big problems so far. It doesn't clean itself, but it has stood up to some nasty dust and rain storms that damaged cars in the neighborhood. The color has stood up well in the desert sun and I can't tell any difference between the parts that are in sun all day all summer and the parts that are behind bushes. The downsides are that tt does expand a lot in the summer heat, particularly in direct sunlight, but I've never had any part of the siding come apart from the heat even if it does creak sometimes as it heats up or cools down. And it does next to nothing to help keep the house cool--a similar house in our neighborhood has a stucco finish and that makes it quite a lot cheaper to keep cool than our house. It was, however, a lot cheaper to put up than a stucco finish and is cheaper to repair should it get damaged.
