Nichiha Sierra Premium Shake & Smooth Fiber Cement Siding

With the durability of being factory primed and sealed on all sides, the Nichiha Sierra Premium boards are sixty percent thicker than other fiber cement shake products, and can withstand winds up to 150 miles per hour. Shake fiber cement has the appearance of rough sawn individual panels at a reduced cost and maintenance level. Currently, there are two profile sizes of Sierra Premium siding, 7 inches and 8-3/4 inches, and each can be purchased in eight factory-stained colors or pre-painted.

CertainTeed WeatherBoards and ColorMax Prefinished Fiber Cement Siding

The CertainTeed Fiber Cement Siding is manufactured in smooth lap, beaded lap, textured lap, cedar lap and rounds that are prefinished or painted according to the owner's request. For the ColorMax boards, customers can select from a palette of designer colors as well as prefinished stains that represent the look of natural wood.

Care of Fiber Cement Siding

Regular cleaning or power washing of fiber cement siding usually removes a majority of the dirt. Known for being low maintenance, fiber cement boards typically require repainting every seven to fifteen years, either by a professional or the homeowner. Every year, an inspection of the caulked joints of boards, windows, and doors should be completed according to the manufacturer guidelines.
